This weekend festival-goers at V festival, Hylands Park got to experience music the Scandinavian way through Carlsberg Export’s Danish Quarter (DQ).
In addition to live DJ sets and acoustic music throughout the two days, the DQ offered guests the opportunity to learn more about the Danish way of life.
Carlsberg UK’s Brew Master Bhavya Mandanna, gave an insight into the art of brewing, coupled with delicious Danish smorgasbord provided by Snaps+Rye, a London based authentic Danish restaurant. Festival goers learnt about Carlsberg and Carlsberg Export paired with the rye bread goodies, topped with herring and smoked salmon. The beer and food pairing session was supported by schnapps in between the two different beer tastings in order to taste the beer notes more prominently.
To continue with the Danish way of life, artisan candle making classes provided guests with a new skill on how to craft handmade candles the Danish way.
To top it off, every guest had the chance to ride a Danish bike just like Mads himself in a Giff booth – immortalised via a take - home Giff link sharable on social media under the #DanishWay hashtag.
The DQ will travel next to Reading, Leeds and TRNSMT festivals, all part of the 5- year sponsorship deal with Live Nation, where Carlsberg and Somersby cider are the official beer and cider across the portfolio.
